What’s involved in Home Whitening?
We make whitening trays (similar to a thin mouthguard) that accurately fit over your teeth. This is worn with a strip of whitening gel for an hour every day or night for 2-3 weeks. The gel doesn’t change the tooth structure, but whitens your teeth by bleaching them safely.
How long does it last?
If coffee, tea, red wine or cigarettes are part of your lifestyle, you may find you need to use your home whitening kit every 12 months. The trays can be kept and used again and again. A night or two of wearing the trays every year should be enough to maintain your desired level of whiteness.
What if my teeth are sensitive?
Some people experience sensitivity from the whitening gel. This is quite normal and usually stops within 24 hours. Tooth Mousse can be effective in reducing sensitivity if applied to the teeth five nights prior to using the gel. You can also opt to use the whitening gel only every second or third night. This will still give you the same result, but will just take a little longer.
